..tomorrow morning's 3rd place play-off, that is. Yes it's Wales, yes it's quality opposition so should be a good game and yes I'll be up to watch it but I still can't raise any excitement about it.

Any other Taffs still feeling deflated and more than a little underwhelmed after last weekend's tragedy, especially at the thought of the final being a (potentially) massive anti climax?

Or am I the only one wallowing in stupefying self-pity?

A good send-off for the Welsh from NZ shores perhaps.........

Yes we are OmarLittle, but playing for 3rd is cold comfort, knowing that we've got to wait another four years for our next chance.
Go Wales!
It might only be for 3rd place, but last time out Argentina went for the jugular against then hosts France in the play off in what was a very entertaining game.
Hope Wales do the same.

It's just that I'm fearful of the All Blacks getting a cricket score against Les Bleus, leaving the World Cup becoming infamous for the final that never was. I'm giving serious consideration to putting a fiver on NZ to beat France by more than 30.
I fully expect them to put France to the sword for all the times they've upset the apple cart and am certain they'll really rub their noses in it once they get into an unassailable lead.
If France DO capitulate I'll be apoplectic!
I can't even say that I'll watch this, although I do wish the Welsh all the best. Similarly, I can never watch the football World Cup third place play-off either. They mean little or nothing.
sounds like it was a decent game - 18-21 against Australia ain't bad at all.
The Wales squad can go home with their heads held very high!

Sunday's game I think could be a walk over too, what odds are you getting for +30 pts?
Question Author
pa___ul3,

Latest odds on 30+ points are 11/1. Think I'll have a cheeky fiver!
I hope the French get whupped.

So Wales lost today, did they?

I really don't know why they bother with a third place play off. Once you're knocked out, you just want to go home.
It was a fair result. The best team won. Get over it.

Very insightful DosAmigos.

Which match are you actually referring to though?
Ok so we lost this morning to Australia, but hey!.....we are a tiny nation, and we are rated 4th in the world!.........can't be a bad result Philtaz........proud of our squad!........they'll come home to a massive welcome!.....
Question Author
Indeed welshlibranr, extremely proud of them. It'll seem like eons until the next shot at the Cup though!
Phil - I got 20-1 on 35+ with a tenner this morning,,,,ABs at 9-1 on, France 6-1 (healthy spread for the bookies there....)
manager tried to tempt me with 10-1 on France - prefer the spread...
Question Author
Good odds that DT, hope it pays off for you!
I know Phitaz, it is eons away, but we have to be very proud to be 4th in the world!......

The 6 Nations will be upon us before we know it though, the outlook is promising.
Philtaz, was just thinking about the 6 nations!.....should be exciting, we must have a good chance!.........
I'm a VERY proud, although disappointed Taff.
