still finding my way round this great site. i got a funny story to tell. there is a 14 year age gap between my partner and i me being the oldest at just turned 50. but i didn't think it was that big a gap until we are talking about musicians. i said jimi hendrix played a gig in my town in the 60's now my partner is from somerset and said " but we have famous muscians play at glastonbury" lol i was like "uh" she had never heard of jimi hendrix .
also i was once browsing the vinyls in a charity shop with my sons who was young back then .i picked up a mozart record one of my sons said "which band is that?" nothing like being made to feel ancient lol

Ha, I know the feeling. Same difference between OH and me - different bands, different experiences. I was bopping in the sixties - OH was at primary school.....
aye well jimi hendrix was on tele in black and white when I was 12 and he made a right racket according to my mither but my sister was mad on him, i liked The Monkees though.
Jimi who? :o)
My mum loved the Monkees and the Beatles, she thought they were all good clean-cut lads!
Ha so do I as also in that situation (16 years for me). Not really a problem with music as he likes rockabilly and 50s stuff so his taste is actually older than mine!
Lol net, it makes life interesting when you can compare histories.
Less so when it makes you feel like you came out of the Ark, gran ;-)
Don't worry - you are not old yet. Wait until you hear your (future) grandchild talking to his friend and saying "Come on in and see my grandma - she's old"! He is five and believe me although I couldn't help laughing it made me realise how old I am.
I still have to remember that the teenages next door probably DO see me as Grandma material - after all, I am not (but hell no, I'm not!)

i find myself muttering to modern music "call that music" "in my day you could hear the words they was singing" lol . also when i text on my mobile there i am squinting at the buttons taking ages to send a text while my son texts like lightening lol.and i've also tried changing tv channels with the phone and tried answering the tv remote when the phones rang lol. also forgot i had swapped the kettle we used on the gas hob for the electric kettle and after filling it nearly put it on the gas hob lol.
Good god net, you are worse than me and I am far older than you. ☺☺
Suddenly I feel young...............
When my granddaughter comes to stay then I feel old. She can text on her mobile without looking at the keys. It takes me a few minutes to use my mobile to send messages.
Duh! I haven't even got a mobile. I must get with it and buy one.
Don't worry craft, yer dont look it.
I was asked to smile, boxy - it is killing me
