Morning punters. Another blank Saturday, but this is a great summer meeting over 5 days. My only advice is to avoid the horses that I have listed below as I am not hitting the mark at present. Still gotta try.
Expert Eye @ 5/2 2.25 Good.
Home of the Brave @ 7/1 3.00 Good.
Vibrant Chord @ 13/2 4.45 Good.
Ghadaayer @ 15/2 5.15 Good.

£1.00 E/W Acca. 6 X 30p doubles. 4 X 30p Trebles. Pays £2k or so if all came in. I have got B.O.G so the odds could be enhanced but wont get worse.

Have left the 3.35 Goodwood Cup race out for now but may have a look at Stradivarius off bottom weight and have a single and rev f/cast.

And, my apologies to the Captain for my earlier kneejerk reaction to his comment. I hadn't read your 2nd offering Capt, which suggests your first was made in jest. Sorry - and i've slapped the back of both my wrists on your behalf:-)

Morning Panky. I see that you have wisely managed to avoid my selections. That means your chances are much better. Good luck to you too.
I've been following these fantasy stories; trust you won't be 'giving up the day job' guys?

Good luck today. ;0))))

Haha Capito, I have already given up the day job. This is just fun and we all only seem to do small stakes punts. My motto has always been only place what you can easily live without. My stake today is £5 so it will hopefully not impact on our well being but may provide a little boost. I stopped doing the lottery some while ago, so am already £20 a week better off.
Agree with everything you say there Togo. (We had a spell of having a Saturday bet - but never more than £5 - used to enjoy it at the time).

Bon chance

Ta Capito.
When Mr Alba has a flutter, it's only for what he can afford to do without too.

Many, many years ago, he had a very nice win when 4 gee-gees obliged. We had a lovely 2 months :-D

Nothing since mind you lol
I now say to him 'so, you've picked your seconds then?'
ooops, meant to say, good luck to each who is having a flutter today
Question Author
Had a couple of nice touches myself over the years Alba. £1300 a couple of years ago and a £4k touch a while ago. My brother hit a £45k win at Cheltenham then a £12k payout 3 weeks later the jammy devil. Had an loft conversion done and a nice holiday.
cor Togo!! now that was sweet
Can I go and rub him for luck?! :-)

We're just happy if/when he gets his stake money back with a slight profit these days.
In reply to Captain2, same as Togo, I only bet small stakes for fun, best win so far was £960 for a 10p stake
I've seen workmates put £100 in roulette machines in the bookies and it's gone in 5 minutes and another who has a scratchcard habit upwards of £50 a day.
Today's Goodwood picks are an EW Heinz
1.50 Sugioo
2.25 Londinium
3.00 Encrypted
3.35 Zonderland
4.10 Naqaawa
4.45 Skiffle

Good luck all

Morning Panky. Good luck for today.
After getting off to a flier it all reverted back to normal. The saver was Stradivarius forecast with the fav. Paid me £14 and the stakes for the day were £7. If only we could double our money every day, why, this time next year Rodney. Today's non triers will be.
Golden Doyen @ 10/1 1.50 Asc.
To Wafij @ 9/1 3.00 Asc.
Titi Makfi @ 8/1 4.45 Asc.
Sinfonietta @ 5/1 5.50 Asc.

£1.00 E/W Acca 6 X 30p Doubles, 4 X 30p Trebles All in pays £7k or so. May have a look at Zelzal in the Sussex Stakes 3.35.
Eat your gambling money but never gamble your eating money. That has, is and always will be my mantra so idiotic comments like Captain 2 makes are like water off a ducks back. Quack!

Hate Goodwood with a vengeance as i never get winners there - though i never give up trying and today is no exception:-) I usually begin with CD winners but i have had a look at the first race and the stats appear to favour double figure priced and double figure stalled horses carrying less than 9 stone. So, EW @ 20/1 Arthur McBride. Will be back with my lucky 15 later. Good luck chaps.
I heard on radio earlier today, that someone in Wales put on a total wager of £15.50 and thanks to the odds, won over £150,000

that makes me feel faint!
Ha, the stats were correct, double figure priced (mine was backed into single figures) from a double digit stall! Still, 3rd place gets me a small profit:-) Jo Gordon - got one of her's later, hope she hasn't tired herself out winning that one.

2.25; Hochfeld @ 8/1
3.00; Invincible Army @ 3/1
4.45; White Chocolate @ 5/1
5.30; Noble Peace @ 11/1

4 placed gets £13, 4 winners (preferably) nets £2,219:-)
Had to be someone somewhere who had a few of those big priced winners in an acca, yesterday, Alba. That's why some of us don't mind spending a few quid to try and win a big pot. On the other hand, it's also why the only people who should really be looking forward to these big festivals are the bookies:-//
And, my apologies to the Captain for my earlier kneejerk reaction to his comment. I hadn't read your 2nd offering Capt, which suggests your first was made in jest. Sorry - and i've slapped the back of both my wrists on your behalf:-)
didn't hear all of the item Ken, but I think the guy from the bookies said something about the punter having 2 50/1 winners out of his 4 selections.

Well done to the punter anyway. Very, very nice to hear.

Looks like a 15p E/W Heinze to me Ken. Stake looks about right and the payout then figures.
Always nice to hear about someone taking a bundle off the enemy. Just waiting for my turn. Had some quite decent returns but the most i've ever won in a single bet was £1,062 for a £1 placepot at Thirsk back in August '92.
Yes, Togo. He must also be a big fan of Atzeni's to back the guy to have more than one or two winners at the same big meeting. Whenever i do that with a rider (usually Hanagan, Conor Murtagh, or Moore) they tend to get 3 winners.................................the very next day.
