Venue was Anfield 22nd Aug 1964
Liverpool 3 Arsenal 2
Roger Hunt scored 1st Goal (Gordon Wallace 2)
Geoff Strong who scored for Arsenal later transferred to Liverpool.
This was also the year that Bill Shankly changed Liverpools Home strip to the all red strip they play in today.
They did away with the white shorts.
You both knew that I'm sure.
Can't remember the Year, but Liverpool v West Ham was first Match of the Day shown in colour. What year was it Steve ?

The Bill Shankly era was the greatest time for me and I still have his autograph from 1972 which I treasure.
He laid the modern day foundations and in my eyes he was God. Bob Paisley was God Mark II.
Good days Steve.5 !!
