I find most of Mamjet's post humerous so I stalk him. I believe his new name is Tetjam. See here His post at 1:22 ; of course I could be wrong. ;-)
Thanks very much for replies. I guess he disappeared because he upset a lot of people ......... I must be a bit warped because he had me chuckling a lot!
Hi China, yes I am very community-spirited, and in a way I kinda feel sorry for Mamjet because I think that most of the time he was just trying to inject some humour into the site (I know sometimes he went too far though).
I do sincerely feel for the people who had their feelings hurt, but sometimes his wind-ups were just so obvious, I wanted to shout at the computer screen, "he's winding you up!"
I think the way to deal with Mamjet's type, is either to completely ignore him, or to play him at his own game and reply with an equally inappropriate answer. That sounds a bit childish, I know, but you will always get this sort of thing on a public forum. That's how I would have handled a response from him. But that's just me, and I guess it takes all sorts!
Thanks again for replies.

The joke (I think) is in relation to Princess Di, and speculation that she was killed on instructions of Prince Philip or MFI (MI5)
At least I assume that's what he means by MFI - we have a work colleague who had us in stitches at the time because he said MFI instead of MI5. We all joked that she was killed in a car crash, not by a wardrobe falling on her....

I can tolerate most people (even the 'idiots') posting comments that I don't like here in CB. However, my main gripe with Mamjet relates to his many totally unhelpful posts in the 'serious' sections of AB (particularly in 'Law'). Lots of questioners have sought advice on very serious issues only to receive idiotic replies from Mamjet.

I agree with that. Those who know (or knew) took his silly comments with a pinch of salt, or didn't rise to the bait, but I saw loads of posts, quite serious as said, where he wasn't just unhelpful but downright rude.
He actually prompted me to put a post on suggestions about being able to report answers as well as questions.

Hi jno, I have just looked at the post you highlighted and to be honest I can't imagine there would be anybody on Answerbank, new or old, who couldn't see that Mamjet's answer is a wind-up.
The great thing about Answerbank is that for every joke reply, there will be dozens of serious ones. To me, the joke one sticks out like a sore thumb.
I've said it lots of times before - the way to go is to either completely ignore the reply, or play Mamjet at his own game and come back with your own wind-up reply.
