Tuesday. Lots of cloud about again, same as yesterday, but the sun came out and it was nice all day. That would be good for today too, out to lunch again, RAFA this time.
I was sat by the kitchen door waiting to take a snap of Tiggy, comfy chair, bottle of Merlot, camera at the ready. Midnight came...and went. I gave up about 20 past. I don't know what time he appeared, but his supper is gone now. The wee scamp! I'll get him one day!
Very grey and overcast here this morning. I can't even see the other side of the valley !
Met my first transvestite yesterday, at least in the course of my work ! He was in his mid 70's and I really wasn't sure what sex he was for the first 5 mins of the interview. He was quite a nice chap, although he told me that he had been married three times, but none had been a success, "because they kept finding me in their clothes ! "
Apparently there are Boaty, although he was my first. My colleagues tell me that they meet them all the time. I understand most things in life but I am still trying to get my head the whole man-dressed-as-women thing ! He did look faintly ridiculous.....at least Grayson Perry makes an effort, especially when he went for his OBE. Italian Mafia mother of the bride, if my memory serves me correctly. Him yesterday just looked like Ena Sharples !
beejay1124...Actually, we both had a good laugh at that yesterday ! One of his marriages, I can't recall which one, only lasted 3 weeks ! He also said that he was an ex-Merchant Navy cook, although I am unsure if that is significant or not !
I have a friend who was a Sergeant in the RAF, married, two children, but is now a woman. Still a very nice person. I know her through the RAFA of course. She's happier now than she has ever been.
This chap was adamant that he definitely wasn't gay ! He did't want to be a woman, just dress like one. I wish someone could explain this...on the other hand, perhaps its better if no one did !
