This is mainly for ichkeria. I am travelling home on Saturday for the game between Ballinamallard and Linfield to complete my set of Irish League grounds but if, as suspected, the weather results in a call off, my back up plan is to go to Slumitude and cheer on Coleraine. Do you want a programme if I end up in the wrong part of North Belfast?

Hi Duncer - yes that would be grand thanks! You'll get a good welcome (I hope) from the Bannsiders there. Not been to Solitude for years.
I'm afraid I've some way to go to complete a full set of Irish League grounds. Not just Ballinamallard but Dungannon, Distillery and Donegal Celtic are still on my to-do list. By the time I get round to them they'll probably be in a different league (!)
We've not scored more than 1 goal in a game sine we beat Linfield 6 weeks ago. So I'm not hopeful.
Well, I hope you got to Fermanagh Duncer. Looks like the league title is heading to somewhere in North Belfast anyway ...

Yup I made it, and what an impressive set up they have down there, and a very friendly and welcoming bunch they are too. A well appointed ground and a fantastic social club, which must be a great source of revenue for them, and everything was very well organised. You can watch the game live in the club while having a beer, as about 250 Linfield fans did, while outside was pretty packed as well. Quite a good game too; it could have been 7-6.

Sorry to hear about your loss in North Belfast, I caught the goals last night wen I got back.
I saw the Linfield highlights - looks a pleasant enough place, previously made famous (in Norn Iron at least) on Talkback by Rev John Bach and his obsession with its public toilets(!)

You can also watch the match at the Showgrounds from the Social Club of course :-)
Lack of goals continues to be a problem for us. Looks like the Irish Cup is once again going to be our only chance of a trophy other than the North West Cup.

If you could rediscover your early season form then you'd still be right up there. Curtis is a good goalscorer but lacks a hard edge when the going gets tough. I'd say the Cup is practically anyone's this year, but Cliftonville's front two mark them out as a huge danger. If we can keep Gaulty fit then we have a chance, and perhaps second place could yet be ours, although third seems more likely? Then again, sixth is still very much in our own hands.
