I had given up on last night's game at 4-0, as had quite a few Arsenal fans, only to find it was 4-3 when I was channel hopping a while later. I couldn't take my eyes off it thereafter. Can anyone remember a better comeback?

I once went to see Linfield play Finn Harps in the All-Ireland Cup, or Tyler Cup as it was back then, and they came back from 5-1 down to draw 5-5, then ruined it by losing on penalties, so hardly a comeback of Arsenal proportions.

Here's a contender- the score may not quite as impressive as last night but Man City made their comeback with only 10 players

Sorry to mention my other team but Coleraine game back from 0-3 after 65 mins to beat Portadown 4-3 earlier this season. The scoreline last night was crazy but in comeback terms it probably wasn't quite in the same league as Newcastle coming back from 0-4 after 67 mins v Arsenal or Sweden doing much the same thing v Germany in the World Cup earlier this month.
Incidentally I can remember Reading being involved in another 7-5 scoreline, v Doncaster Rovers I think, a few years ago.
Sorry just remembered another Coleraine comeback: winning 3-2 in the Irish Cup 5th round against the might of Larne Tech Old Boys after being 0-2 down with less than 5 minutes to play!
I remember tottenham being 3-0 v Man City a few years back, city had just 10 men and came back to win 3-4. Crazy!

I left the ground (Arsenal end) 5 minutes before the end of normal time! Definitely a game of 4 halves!
Paul Scholes - that was a greater comeback ;-))
The best comeback that I witnessed was this one ... 4-0 down at half time and drew 5-5 (although the ref disagreed)

But the best ever comeback considering what was at stake, was surely Liverpools comeback against AC Milan.
That was nt a comeback Mick that was a minor miracle ;-))
Of course, it could have been a fix !

Thank you Duncer.
There were some amusing tales from Arsenal fans who left early last night, including one who had an argument with a Reading taxi driver who told him it was now 4-4 and wasn't believed!
As for Koscielny avoiding a red card, the ref obviously decided the greater punishment for the team was for him to stay on the field ...

Always stay to the end.

I was taken to a County Antrim Shield game many years ago where Dsitllery led the Blues 4-1 with about 20 minutes to go. My mates' dad decided we were leaving, (well, it was his car and we were about twelve, and Belfast was ablaze at that time), so off we went. I got up to do my paper round the next morning and they had won 5-4, much to my disgust.
MT-the Leeds Liverpool highlights are fascinating. In this day and age Batty and Lukic would have been looking at possible red cards. Nice to see some sense back in the day
The pitch looked awful though didn't it, dr pop.
Oh and the greatest comeback-charlton in 1957 v Huddersfield. Five-one down after 63 minutes and with only 10 men-won 7-6!!
Absolutely dreadful Factor!

It's a veritable bowling green compared to my memories of the Baseball Ground.
