I see that the "sport" of bludgeoning people to death, instead of being banned, has been extended to the fairer sex.

Disgraceful.

Money talking as usual because the paying baying mob who thrive on lapping up this bloody spectacle is enormous.

It's character-building they say ! Tell that to Jeanette's family and friends.

Training for boxing has probably turned many with poor prospects away from a life of crime and/or drugs. Maybe other ways would be more humane but on balance I think boxing has done more good than harm.

People regularly die doing other sports - skydiving, mountaineering, cycling etc. etc. They aren't banned!
Amateur boxing is relatively a safe sport,Limited number of rounds and protective helmets.
This was a Professional fight.

Any premature death is a tragedy but no-one is forced into the boxing ring. All those who do take up the profession will be more than aware of the dangers involved.
BTW, bludgeoning requires a weapon other than fists, pedantic I know but if one is going to fulminate…
