Hi. Does anyone know how to delete everything off an old gen 4 i pod that has no account in i tunes? thinking of buying secondhand one thats got stuff on it...

When you synch it to iTunes to load your own music, it will erase the previous stuff first. Or, to make sure it is up to date, then click "restore to factory settings" in the synch menu, This will erase all data and reset the ipod. Apply any updates it advises

Just a thought... couldn't the iPod's hard drive be formatted via the computer?
