Yes, he should know better. He has nothing to complain about.
As an MP he should know he needs to set an example, or maybe he was doing just that.

He has a point but it's the present parliament that is turning the country and culture ‘like East Germany under the Stasi’. He should get this direction change debated in the House.
He's right we are heading that way. We have got to stop administering a cure that is far worse than the disease.

Durrr. There's a Coronavirus outbreak hitchhiking itself around the world. You're not wearing a mask and you're on the Tube - people DO NOT speak to strangers on the Tube. Give me strength

How can you "forget" to wear a mask? Everybody around him would have been wearing one and now he's given the awkward brigade the perfect "Barnard Castle" excuse for not wearing one.
Surely the awkward brigade are those in government who are making life awkward for all.
Irish people talk to people on the tube. + Some Welsh people do.
Devizes Tory MP Danny Kruger (Prue Leith's son) told his constituents (in a FB message) on 7 Sep they "MUST wear a face covering" unless exempt. Then, a couple of weeks later, he was photographed not wearing one while travelling to Paddington. He said he "forgot" but "had the person reminded me instead of taking a photo and posting it on social media, i would have put on my mask." A one-off occurrence? Maybe. However, on his own website, he said he "detests the rule of six, the compulsory face masks, the Covid Marshalls and the snooping on your neighbours."
I suppose you can forget to wear a mask for a second, but then you see everyone in masks and remember to put one on, surely?

I don’t like encouraging people to snitch on each other, but the ones supposedly in charge can’t keep on with the ‘One rule for the little people, another for us.’
I apologise in advance if there is any bad language

More importantly, did he get fined £200....
I loved that, Stephen. Must start watching MTW again. I’d forgotten how funny it is sometimes.
I went out mine this morning, got half way to shop before turning round to get it.
masks are primarily a placebo device anyway, they make very little difference but they give people a nice fuzzy feeling. The jobsworths love them of course because they can look all superior and sneer at people without.
He’s not complaining about having to wear a mask, but about the person who took his picture.
And I sympathise. Only a few days ago people were queuing up to condemn snitching.
So there you have it: I’m sympathising with Sammy Wilson. There’s a first for everything.
Additionally I see Graham Brady, the Tories’ chief backbencher, has accused the government of acting by decree. Trouble looms I suspect.
Tony - anybody can forget to pick a mask up on the way out but that isn't the same as sitting on a train with one in your pocket and everybody around you wearing one.
Sammy Wilson isn’t in charge by the way.
He’s just an MP and to date MP have had no say in anything. That is what Graham Brady is complaining about
Bhg I agree, they are a bit useless anyway because hole size in masks are a lot larger than the virus spores.
“The jobsworths love them [masks] of course because they can look all superior and sneer at people without.”

Divvy toddler statement of the day (and its only 9am - a record!)
