If anyone has bought an MP3 (music) from Amazon.co.uk, how did it arrive?...did it come as an attachment to an email or what? I have bought, for example, an MP3-CD (audio book) and this came as a "physical" CD, an actual disc, but is a music MP3 an actual ...? I like to listen to my music "in the open", so to speak and not be obliged to have to wear headphones or similar, so does an MP3 offer this "freedom" or am I restricted to a pc or other device? Ta Muchly and Take Care All.

It is downloaded to your Amazon music library which you can play on any streaming device such as your pc - it's up to you whether you use headphones or speakers.
I don't know if you could burn them to a cd, there could be copyright restrictions.
If you want a cd, buy the cd version if it is available

Many Thanks Barry, but it would seem I'd be restricted to my pc, cans or not and what I was after did not have audio CD available or I'd buy that!
You should be able to create a CD on your computer from a number of MP3 files. Depending on the device you play the CD on you can just copy them or you may have to make a "Music" CD. The format is different and old CD players might only play music CDs, where newer ones might play MP3 files.
To add; I have bought MP3s from Amazon and copied them directly to CDs which I can play in the car. You can get hundreds of tracks on a CD in MP3 format but normally only 10s of tracks on a music CD.
bhg, I copy my mp3 to usb sticks to play in the car.

Woodelf, if you don't want to play cds what do you want to play your music on? You have confused me.
A bit tricky on my 12-year old car, barry, which doesn't have a USB socket.

Barry, of course I play my CDs, but I don't know how to copy/burn/rip an MP3s to a Cd or to a flash drive. I do have normal CD players and one that does play MP3s too, but I've no idea how to make a copy. I've never been shown how to or told how to or any other to, so if the music I want or would like isn't on CD, then I'll do without ...as far as I know!
Sorry, Woodelf, I got the wrong end of the stick.
woodelf, you have a PC, yes? Do you have iTunes on it?
https://cdburnerxp.se/en/home free app
how to use, for mp3's burn as a data cd
Question Author
Yes Dusty, I have a PC, but no iTunes in it or on it and Many Thanks Fender, I will look at your info...I probably won't understand it, but I'll have a look!...don't forget, you're dealing with the world's best techno-duffer!...well, at least it's good to be good at summat, eh!...even if it's only raising a smile!
woodelf, I’m no techno wizard myself, but iTunes is very easy to download and use. You can then burn CDs from it. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll love it!
Woodelf, you say you have a CD player which will play MP3s, as such you should be able to play your new audiobook on that, or am I missing the point?
alos if your going to burn a cd for mp3's as you can get a load of tracks taher than a normal cd, for mp3's burn as a data cd, and not audio.
but wil only play in a player that reads mp3 discs.

Fitzer, the audio book came as a CD, which I guess was formatted (?) as an MP3 - or vice versa - and I just slide it into player - whereas, I suppose, an MP3 sent to my pc could be accessed by a flash drive using my usb drive - but then again, I am a bit thick!..."Oh, more than a bit, I would think," says Lie-in King, with a wicked grin. I'll have a look at iTunes Dusty and if it's as easy as you say then...!
If you put a CD into your computer and "explore" the contents, rather than play the disc, you will easily determine what format the CD is. If it's an MP3 CD you will see a list of the titles of all the tracks and double-clicking on a filename will play the track. If it's in music format the list of filenames will be meaningless to you.
iTunes is no easier than amazon music (for example)
Obviously to listen to music you are restricted to some sort of device (unless you are listening to a live concert)
I presume you mean you want it on a cd to be played by a cd player. If you cant get what you want on amazon, try ebay
I hate iTunes with a passion. I use Windows Media Player to burn mp3 to CD and have never had a problem with it.

Don't know if this guide will help you, Woodelf

Hi Bednobs, now don't throw up your arms in despair - or even throw up - but I don't know how to do eBay either!...the limits of my unknowingness are limitless, eh!...smile. Ta Barry, I'll have a look at your link too. Take Care All and Many Thanks for your patience...and I'm not interested about going into eBay!..."Saves us any bother with that then," says Lie-in King, with a wry smile and huge sigh!
I don't throw my arms up in despair at all, you are one of the nicest posters on here, and I wish I could help you more with this.
