We were looking at car parking near stations just outside London for when we visit so we can get the train into London instead and was amazed at how many people rent out their own driveways as parking spaces. Daily weekly or monthly. What a fab idea. We live in a seaside town where parking is difficult to find also, perhaps we could do the same. Would you, if you could

No.
That's a heckuva good idea. However, what sort of insurance would be needed if considered a commercial enterprise? Oh, and don't forget to declare it to HMRC for their cut.
People do it near the racecourses too. A friend of ours used to rent out her whole house for an absolute fortune during Wimbledon. I think I'd rent my drive out, but no call for it where I live.
I live at the sea-side too, I'd rent mine out (room for 3 cars) but its a 20 min walk to the sea,so no takers, besides my H would be livid. Ooops!

I just looked, but there isn't a website called ...

Park-In-My-Designated-Parking-Space.com

So that's no good for me then.
