Whatever "Team" you support, do you agree that a Christian who sticks closely to the teachings of the New Testament will not ever become a physical threat to anybody, whereas a Muslim who adheres to Koranic teaching, would applaud the violence we see around the world, the latest in Moscow.?

Your chances of being blown up by the former are nil, but by the latter? Increasing daily!

Worldwide, the first step in thwarting these attacks is to study what the koran actually teaches.

Or is it just coincidence that all over the world, the vast majority of terrorist outrages are perpetrated by muslims?

Nope the fundemental christian movement in the US have blown up abortion clinics in the country. It just shows its human thing and if you "believe" enough and have the opportunity yiu will kill for god.
Unless you are a fundamental Christian who sees blowing up clinics and doctors in America as part of your sacred duty.............

Or a member of the various (Christian) God-fearing 'frontiers-men' groups (Timothy Mcveigh, anyone ?) who see planting fertiliser truck bombs outside federal buildings as part of God's greater plan............
What were all the terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland about again.... I forget!
The world would be a better place if people ditched religion altogether. It creates conflict.
Interesting isn't it how Christians always pick out the New testament when they want to make arguments like this.

Is the Old testament an embaressment Theland? What with those passages of your God exhorting his chosen people to kill and rape?

I personally think it's disgusting to suggest a Muslim could applaud last night's terrorist attack.
It just shows the twisted mentality of some people who must have read / heard about the attack in Moscow and automatically thought, in some way, about Muslims and how they could then use it to have a pop at them.
35 people have been killed! Have a bit more compassion than to use it as amo!
I guess I don't have to say anything as seems to me that you have got your answers. Perhaps not what you expected.
And perhaps it ois a time now you start acting upon what Jesus (pbuh) talked about. I mean his real teachings.

The key point was adherence to oes beliefs as stated in the texts of the believer.
Northern Ireland andother examples quoted obviously did not adhere to the teachings.
Howevr, the terrorist muslims do.

It must comfort you to think so....
There were a lot of committed Christians flying bombers over Dresden in WW2.
My understanding, which is in no way unimpeachable, is that the Koran, like every "holy" book is subject to interpretation.

For every line that supposedly says kill the infidel or such there is another that says treat all with kindness etc.

It only the reactionary that wish to turn these things to thier own ends that take the violent way
McMouse would you have preferred the christians to have not bothered fighting and let the Nazis wipe out all Jews,Gays, Communists and anyone else that they fancied during the Second World War
See what I mean? Mention religion and everyone's arguing.
Any belief system that proclaims that notions of morality are beyond question is a dangerous belief system particularly when the concepts are based on interpretation of ambiguous texts written long ago by people with no idea of the world we now live in.

This arrogance founded on ignorance is where the trouble begins.

"Religious scholar Philip Jenkins studied the Quran and the Bible in the light of the September 11 attacks and accusation that the former incites violence. He found that "the Bible contains far more verses praising or urging bloodshed than does the Quran"
Anyone who finds it necessary to presuppose the existence of that which does not to justify a belief or action has abandoned the quest for, if not seeking to negate, an unbiased objective standard for determining what is real and right or wrong and not and that which in reality constitutes a rationally justifiable pursuit of justice.

For anyone who believes in a nonexistent overseer of reality who is on their side, anyone who denies the existence of any objective standards on which to base a rationally inclusive system of fair and equitable justice, when someone else’s god comes knocking at your door be prepared to reap the harvest of that which you have sown.
I must ask again

Do you not hold to the teachings of the Old Testament Theland?

Or is that an inconvenient part of the Literal word of God?
