Do people still hire these for their wedding day? I've been to a few weddings in the past years and haven't seen one about.

Well they still seem to believe that it's worthwhile advertising their services. A quick glance in my local Yellow Pages found a sweep's ad stating 'weddings attended', and there seem to be loads of websites offering such services, e.g. here:

Yes, that's what I've come across too but I've never heard of one attending a wedding in the past few years.

Alot of younger people nowadays wouldn't know a chimney sweep if they saw one!
