Perhaps the most interesting aspect of near death experiences relates to those experienced by young children, many of whom are too young to have any concept of death. Such experiences in children have been studied extensively by Dr Melvin Morse, an American paediatrician. He has looked at many critically ill children admitted to the intensive care unit and found that some of them described NDE`s. There are cases from children as young as 3 or 4 years old who had been critically ill. In fact the youngest case in the medical literature has been reported `as occurring` in a 6-month old baby who recalled the story when he was 4.
A 3 yr old boy had an episode when his heart stopped. In a drawing that he made afterwards he has depicted himself with some string leaving his head and being attached to a balloon. When asked about this he said:

Prof. Jessica Utts, former consultant for the CIA found that Blackmore`s statistics were intrinsically defective showing that she lacks technical competence or wilfully biased to negatively prejudice psi results.
Chris Robinson, a gifted `dream detective` states that Wiseman cheated, lied and willfully misrepresented the presentation of a planned psi experiment. Wiseman agreed to test Robinson for his psychic dreams. On the day of testing Wiseman unilaterally changed the experiment to psychometry! Robinson claimed that someone at the SPR must have aided and abetted in a colossal fraud and allowed publication of Wiseman`s fraudulent report.
I can believe that about the SPR. I had occasion to be interviewed by one of them once and the results were very similar to Chris Robinson`s.
I`ve been on TV shows with SB and RW and was left with very unfavourable memories of both of them.

Thanks Tina. Got it - and watched all three. Whilst it raises some interesting theories - some that concur, to a degree, with my own - I was disappointed to find that the discussion was carried out by three committed Christians. As such, they have inter-mingled religion with history and science, and therefore their pre-conceived religious beliefs are clouding what could be an insight to the history of our planet and of mankind. Personally, I feel that to investigate ancient texts rationally, and to discover exactly what they're telling us, we have to abandon all notions of religion and of a supernatural God.

Jessica Utts believes in remote viewing (and other pychical phenomena), which immediately raises eyebrows, due it being a discredited pseudoscience with no evidential credibility, and who herself is subject to intense criticism regarding her claims of the veracity of RV, due to the lack of verification. Moreover, she was not a member of the CIA but employed by them on a specific project to investigate RV.
Greg Stone is a pseudo-science advocate that attacks not what Blackmore is saying but what other people think she is saying. She also states quite directly that the claims he's attacking were never made, and would be fundamentally ridiculous if made.
No proof that Blackmore is either a cheat, a liar or has deliberately falsified results.
I'm not familiar with Wiseman, but your choice of credible opponents thus far doesn't fill me with confidence about their likely credibility.

Apart from my previous statement, it is true that our brains look for patterns is it not? That's why we can visualise a face in a carpet, an ink smudge, or any other random splodge, be it well trodden dog muck on the pavement or spilled paint.
Similarly, I think that the brain also fills in the gaps to make some sense out of white noise.
