I'll explain. Man who is too tight to part with his money and doesn't want to spend on taking his new date out for a meal so they go to give blood where you get a FREE cup of tea and a biscuit.

I think this was originally a Les Dawson joke, about taking his inlaws out, and I thought it was quite funny, too !
