Wizard69 - Yes, I am totally fed up at being moralised and preached at. It appears that in todays' world, there is a, "one size fits all," mentality associated with morals and ethics.
Total tolerance is the most intolerant of philosophies, as it has no room for any other view and does not even admit the possibility that other ideas may possibly have some merit.
So, yes, Wizard, I totally agree with you.

Mani. You appear not to understand the difference between "debate" and "preaching".
Discussing whether Harry Potter is evil or not is one thing.Demanding that these books be banned because they are evil is another.
In a similar vein discussing divorce/adultary is one thing but preaching that divorce is always wrong, even if the wife gets physically abused, is another.
And if I make you sad then good...because I really dont like you
Wizard - In some ways I do agree with you and yes some of Mani's views are a bit extreme. But surely it is his right to voice these views on a webiste like this. I don't necessarily agree with his views but I think that they are fair views and that he has a right to voice them.

Finger..I entirely agree with you. Of course Mani is entitled to express his views on hear, but the question was "is anyone getting fed up of been preached at"
I am, frankly, sick and tired of the sexist and homophobic remarks that are been posted by these religious moralists who blame secular humanists for all of the worlds ills.
Wizard69 - I think there is simply a bit of a breakdown in communication between you and Mani. Adress this, and you will probably like him after all.
Question Author
Doubt it. His religious views are sick

Boys, boys - pistols at 10 paces - or is it the boxing ring at the ABers' annual ball?
Mani, what medication is that then? Have you discovered a miraculous medical breakthrough?
naomi24 - Aren't you glad we don't argue like that? Their marriage will never last methinks!
Mani, it is truly shocking that you should call homosexuality a disease. Is it any wonder that rational, unbigoted people like wizard dislike you?
If you were black, short or left-handed would you like it if someone called your colour, your height or your handedness a disease? Deep shame on you. If this is the sort of stuff you publish then I am glad to read on another site that you are quitting the AB.
Certainly am, Theland. It's the children I feel sorry for.
Is this a site for adults? I have told my 9yr old its bad to throw stones....
I feel sorry for those who moralise and preach, they are the ones who fear more and enjoy life less.
Life is for living, lead by example, others will follow. Have fun and party :-)
Very much so -

It is reaching a point where any sensible and genuine debate is getting cut off before it starts to be replaced by the bleatings of narrow thinking sheep who follow the rules (I could add religiously at my peril!)

We need free thinking people to stop the lunatics taking over the asylum!
Excellent response quizmaster, I work with people like that all day, intellectual debate with open minded individuals is much more stimulating
