we have feral youths round our way, who ride around on their bikes in the way of anyone who try to remonstrate with them. they use such bad language all the that its a wonder they know any other words to be honest. THey all need a good talking to by the police, for their sake as well as others around here.

i once stopped a gang of kids, they were about 12 - 14 years old i guess from beating the living daylights out of this kid who was on his own, it was quite late in the evening and they had surrounded him with intent of doing him harm - i stopped them by having my phone on to ring the police, they scattered like gutless wonders.

Society needs to come full circle and revert to short sharp shock treatment and borstal because every other ‘punishment’ fails

police should be involved in their lives, a good place to start would be schools.

There's a lot of this about now. Often when walking my dog along the local river path, yobs on bikes come speeding along and often one or two of them will swerve at me as if to hit me and weirdly they usually make strange high pitched noises when they do it. I actually lashed out at one yob once and belted him in the arm and I thought 'Oh God I'm for it now', but amazingly he just rode off muttering obscenities. A couple of weeks ago two yobs (18 and 15) were arrested after one of them ran up to a pensioner (74) standing on the river bank and drop kicked him into the water, the other one filmed it. Luckily for the pensioner two young girls were coming along and between them they managed to get him out. He was very badly shaken and walked home dripping wet. These feral scum terrify me. They have no filter.

A lot of schools play their part in trying to teach children respect and citizenship but kids spend far more time out of school. It's parents responsibility to bring children up properly. Schools have enough to do teaching traditional subjects at ever higher levels without potty training, teeth cleaning and such like.

Show them for what they are, feral scum, use a football stadia , bang them in stocks a get a few thousand to pelt them with rotten fruit till they yell for mercy, they are the product of the snowflake society who bleat on about civil liberty's etc, respect is a foreign word to them ,take one of them on their own and they’d whimper for their Mummy as bully’s do !

shoving and spitting is the norm with these brats, i don't know who or how you knock some sense into them, courts won't, children social services?

Besides the violence and intimidation....if that lad was spitting at people in this current climate he's def looking at prison.

Well, Emmie, hopefully one or more of the girls have older, male relatives who might be interested in meting out their own retribution. Away from CCTV, of course.
