Allen; is it me who's been too wordy? Sorry if it was too much for you, but it's surely better than half-hour videos.
Question Author
Brilliant and thank you.
Something for you my friend.

If that's for me, Theland, thank you. He's good.
Question Author
Yes Atheist, Bonamassa, a recent and rewarding discovery of mine.
Allen - yes I get wordy, but detail is important don't you think?I
19:50 Sat. directionless meanderings indeed.
Question Author
Ah we are just having a music break :-)
Question Author
Direction less meanderings over for now, so in trying to get back on track, where are we? What do we know?
The universe, it seems according to science, has its beginnings from a series of quantum fields, obeying physical laws, that can collapse into sub atomic particles.
Is this the method God used to create the universe? I believe so, especially when taken into consideration the necessity of a lawgiver for the physical laws, and an all prevailing conscience to sustain the creation, again consistent with quantum field theory.
The Bible and science saying the same thing, but using different language.
Yes?
Question Author
In spite of best efforts from science, the quest to produce life in the laboratory has not moved on very much since the Urey / Miller experiments in the 1950',s and many scientists admit to the impossibility of this happening, so again, the Bible stands alone with the perfect explanation of how life began.
Yes?
Question Author
Evolution remains one the most controversial theories to emerge from science since Darwin published his Origin Of Species.
Some scientists, like Daniel Dennet are strict and passionate evolutionists, and he is far from bring alone.
But the theory itself is so full of holes that the general collegiate of evolutionary scientists admit to there being a major problem with it , so far unresolved.
Their over reliance on the fossil record has led them to make great leaps of blind faith, that totally departs from the scientific method, the very basis of good science.
The bible is accurate and concise in explaining speciation, and no evolutionary scientist has managed to contradict it.
So there are some examples above of supporting objective evidence that have led me to my faith.
The far stronger evidence is subjective and anectdotal, and concerns my very real relationship with Jesus Christ, and cannot be put into a test tube for experimentation, but is by far the most powerful of all of the evidence I have.
MIBs speaks of reason, but his reason must by its very nature be found and confined to that from which his very reasoning emerges, that is the creation itself, already established by s power greater than the reach of pure human contemplation unless graciously revealed by supernatural revelation.
I can see no other path for him to follow towards enlightenment.
//the Bible stands alone with the perfect explanation of how life began.
Yes? //

No.

We know what you believe.
Question Author
You are in denial .Naomi.
You can't fault the bible account of a biogenesis, for the dimple reason science has tried and tried but failed to disprove it.
Its still trying and failing.
Yes, you know what I be!I've, but my beliefs are founded on the results of the science, which has exhausted any naturalistic explanation.
Your stubbornness and ultra atheism is blinding you to the science, to the facts.
That's my last word on this subject and on this thread.
Of course I can virtually guarantee it will not be yours.
Theland, //That's my last word on this subject and on this thread.

Nice try to cast aspersions on me again, Theland, but why would it be? I don’t turn tail and run every time I encounter something I disagree with, as you do.

Where is the account of biogenesis in the bible?
Question Author
The whole creation story is life from nothing.
Question Author
Allegorical of anecdotal, the bible presents the who and the why of creation, not the how.
Science and belief / faith in God are not diametrically opposed but are simply different approaches towards God.

The effects if God found in our lives can only be attributed to a higher power, that is God.
Is there s completely secular society to which you would aspire or is it all a pipe dream?
Let me know.
On s new thread.
Biogenesis isn't life from nothing.
Theland, //Science and belief / faith in God are not diametrically opposed but are simply different approaches towards God.

Rubbish! Who made that up? You - or one of your 'experts'?
Question Author
Abiogenesis - apologies.

Rubbish? You are beyond being a serious seeker.
To you it is fun to try and score points.
No wonder I walk away.
There's more to life than doing your set home works.
And there you go again, Theland. You’ve made two very definite statements - both of which are, in my opinion, nonsense, and so you attack me. Why aren’t you prepared to back them up with some tangible evidence?
I don't think evolution is very controversial among scientists theland... it is the foundation of modern biology.
Question Author
Untitled - evolution is in crisis. Look into it yourself.
