I believe all information originates in a mind.
If you disagree with this, any examples?

No deep mystery here. Those that don't make it to the sea (along with 99% of their siblings) do not live to reproduce.
Mother nature can be a relentlessly cruel and heartless educator but no PhD required to crawl down the beach.

It may not take a PhD to crawl down the beach but what makes them do that rather than remain where they are or head in the opposite direction?

In some bird species, the ability to migrate successfully is innate.

That shows there is no exchange of information from one to another.

No it doesn't show that - it shows that there is no exchange of information that we can recognise, which is not the same as no exchange of information.
The method by which it is done is not known but it is definitely not an exchange of information in the way that THELAND means.
TCL, You're way ahead of me if you understand what Theland means. If so, you should have no problem at all with emergence theory -

It shows newborns were created with the instinct already part of them. It's debatable whether that counts as an exchange when it was there as a consequence of their creation.
I would have thought instinct is likely to be in the DNA, which is information, but not created in a mind.
If information doesn't exist without a mind, how come we're always discovering things. The information existed before a mind contemplated it.
