I honestly think that some, (at least one,) are tormented souls, who search, but never find, and so aggressively try to pull down those who have found peace with God, in spite of the pain of daily life.
I hope and pray that he /she finds peace.

Whilst you have so many troubles of your own at this time, try not to dwell on the rest of the World and how they feel - it will make you worse.

"Others," are also a part of my world Mamya. But thanks anyway.
You're more troubled than anyone else. God isn't helping you.
Theland....post after you've read the Bible.

Ummmm - On the contrary, I accept that whatever the difficulty or pain, God has the last word. That is a comfort. I would never deny Him.
Why is your God making you suffer?

My mum is a 'born again' so I know what its like to be brought up with religion. Unlike you....my mother has read the Bible....over and over again.

I'm still an unbeliever.....no matter how many quotes she puts in cards :=)

I've been all over this world of ours, I've seen the evil things some people do to other, innocent and defenceless people. I didn't see any intervention from any god. We intervened, but believe me, we weren't gods, just soldiers doing our job.
Some people are naturally drawn to people who espouse ideas they find difficult. I think they are really testing their own belief structure to see if it holds firm. When you are secure and comfortable in what you believe it is easier to accept how others feel. Even if you don't agree. From that standpoint you can try to offer alternatives without becoming strident or trying to belittle people.
my non peace isn;t because God isn't on my side but practical things which are dragging me down and making me unhappy
Do you not having anything to do on your night shift? That's the only time you post all this garbage. Nobody would pull down anyone if they didn't post raving looney mumblings.
10 clarion is right i am afraid.
Darkness and being alone bring out all sorts of doubts and anxieties. The difference is
now there is a place to express them.
here i believe is some sense of purpose, AB is a good place, it helps lots of people get over dark stuff, or at least know that someone out there in cyber space cares.
Theland, you clearly feel very sorry for yourself but in reality you’ve suffered no more than millions of others – and in many instances a good deal less. If you had found that much lauded peace with your God you wouldn’t continually feel it necessary to play the victim by bemoaning your lot. No one is pulling you down. If you choose to post here you must expect to be challenged by those who don’t think as you do. Claiming that those people are tormented souls is simply another of your fantasies. You hope and pray that he /she finds peace? How arrogant you are. Pray for yourself if you think that will help because as far as I can tell, peace is something that eludes you. You are an unhappy man - and unhappy men are not at peace.
Very well said naomi.
Thanks wbm.
You're welcome. :o}
Look at you all jumping on this.. you poor tormented souls
I should ask for a raise in salary if I were you, spath. You're doing well. ;o)
You are entitled to your opinion of others; but it could be that you are biased ?
