We agree, I presume, that the universe is not eternal, but had a beginning about 13.7 billion years ago.
That being the case, there are, in my opinion, only two possible causes for the created universe.
First, what I believe, it was created by God.
Secondly, what atheists believe, no God was involved, but it was created by completely natural processes.
If you support the latter view, what would you suggest were these natural creative processes, and how would they work?

Theland, Ive probably read the new testament more times than you've had hot dinners. And ,unlike you, Ive read the Old Testament. And Ive probably read more Christian literature than you (As a Christian I used to read at least 3 books a week as well as the Bible and commentaries etc) as well as praying for guidance.
Its insulting of you to suggest that I didn't search, I did.
There was nothing there. My belief was false. The ball was indeed red.
OP... I presume, that the universe is not eternal, but had a beginning about 13.7 billion years ago.

I should really get around to the washing up... I got your hint.

It was not my intention to be insulting to you Nailit.
You are proud of your history of reading Yes?
Is pride a problem then?
//Is pride a problem then?//
You just cant except can you, that some of us reject the Bible because we have actually read and studied the thing?
You have always got to find a reason for our rejection of it that simply isn't there. Ive heard it all a thousand times...

''You reject it because you're in rebellion against God''
''You reject it because you want to sin''
''You reject it because you are decieved''
''You reject it because you're heart is hard''

*NO*. I reject it because its immoral, contradictory, sick, an insult to intelligence. I reject it because Ive studied it!!!
//You are proud of your history of reading Yes? //
What kind of dumb statement is that?
I like reading, how exactly does that make me proud?
//To most Christians, the Bible is like a software license. Nobody actually reads it. They just scroll down to the bottom and click "I Agree".//

Don't know who said it but that describes you down to a T Theland.

Well I just continue in my faith and express my opinion on here now and again.
That is enough to upset you it seems.
Reconsider what you have written, and ask yourself, "Is this insulting?"
I will leave you to be the judge of that.

Saint Paul taught Timothy the following.
Do not try to help people who are not willing to change/help themselves.
If,somebody is willing to change/help themselves, God will go to any lengths to help that person to know Him.
So whose move is it now?
Not sure, I'll have a chat with my burning bush and get back to you.
St Paul advised Timothy to "take a little wine for thy stomach's sake".
...also to avoid water.
Question Author
Throw away one liners for a cheap laugh.
Well why am I not surprised.
The one-liner was St Paul's, Theland.

Not all[i one-liners are malicious.

[i]Some] may be innocent fun.
Question Author
Was referring to the burning bush comment.
Yeah, maybe just fun, maybe I'm just being touchy, it's been a long night.
" Throw away one liners for a cheap laugh.
Well why am I not surprised."
I'm not surprised you've written this, I've never met a person who is religious having a sense of humour, which suggests to me you all take life in general and the bible in particular, far too seriously.
Question Author
Sense of humour?
Ask Naomi, Nailit, and Mibs if I have a sense of humour.
Go on!
I don't know why anyone gets involved with all this fairy tale rubbish.
Question Author
Ah another coward! State what YOU believe and expose yourself to rigorous examination. Or dont.
You really are pushing you luck clarion!
I could do that but why would religion have anything to do with it?
