Yes, but life is unfair, something most learn very early on.
No. Everything is for the best in this, the best of all possible worlds.
The people coming to more prosperous lands are the ones with initiative. They should be welcomed.

They are mainly Economic Migrants looking for a soft touch.
what would your suggested alternative be?
There's no hope is there goodlife?......
I think Baldric's 'soft touch' is harsh. I agree most are economic migrants but they are searching for a better existence than they have, which in many cases is pitiful. Most would welcome work and a standard of living that few of us on here would call a soft touch.
I believe Goodlife sees this world as a valley of tears. The next life will be a place of milk and honey
what has this got to do with religion?

We must all get converted...
Indeed, I'm having dormers fitted.
If the world's economies were fair, no third-world families would live in mud huts, without sanitation, schooling, or hopes for the future. But then, if the system were fair, you and I wouldn't have a house or a car. I imagine if everyone had a fair share, we'd all be living in small flats and travelling around by bicycle, and we'd all have barely sufficient food.

Those who pin their hope on the promises of men or even on an organization of nations cannot with assurance say, “we were saved in this hope.
For man’s lofty promises for a safe world of tomorrow have failed miserably.
This appears to be a statement rather than a question.
We are a lot safer now than we were in Biblical times goodlife !

You want to tell north Korea's that.
Poor N Koreans. There's a lot of brainwashed people out there......
Life isn't fair, and any decent civilization will be trying to make things as pleasant as possible. (If it can prevent it's elite simply improving things for themselves.)
Those who pin their hope on the promises of men from an organisation who claim to speak for some imagined deity cannot with assurance say, “we were saved in this hope." For their lofty promises for a safe world of tomorrow have failed miserably. As will their promise of everlasting joy in some heaven.
