Phone them and complain: 0800 028 7581 (However it's not unusual for service suppliers to take money from your account before then end of an existing term if they assume that you'll continue with a new one; that's what most car insurers do, for example).

thanks Chris - is there any info I need to hand for them - maybe get them my online account.
Just make sure that they can recognise you by giving them your email address and/or your account number (if they've given you one or it appears on your bank statement).

A nightmare of a phone call - they talk so easy going think they Indians and they pretend to understand what you are saying even tho you say it over and over and over. I gave them my email no and even asked could they email me so that she and her could discuss. I said have you understood what I am am saying Oh yeaaaaaaaaaaah , thank you so much. Bloody dutch.

Anyway what I gleaned PERHAPS to expect the refund in within 5 days. So I don't - I may try and get my neighbour to phone - unbelievable.

My email address was spelt out to them letter by letter and still they couldn't understand. So if I lose £40 - let it me a lesson to me.
If you go to the contact us link at the bottom of the McAfee home page you will find links to web chat.

Hopefully the written message will be clearer for both parties.
I would contact my bank and tell them to recover the amount as it has been illegally taken from my account.

Then I would clear-out all traces of McAfee and install a Free Anti Virus as janbee has done. An excellent choice of AVG.

Hans.
they did the same with me..go onto their page and untick autorenewal box..I was refunded within 48 hours
"Bloody dutch"
Could you explain, please?
@Pete65......I am unable to comprehend your posting. Please explicate.

Removing all traces of McAfee requires an official McAfee Removal Tool.

If you get your broadband from BT you get a free subscription to Macafee - rebadged as BT Net Protect.

I am going to have to go now but will get back some time - I may erase McAfee and go for AVG - thanks bye for now
