Jesus said: “He that is not on my side is against me.” (Matthew 12:30)

Most people think that they are serving God acceptably, but the Bible says that Satan is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9)

Yes,Millions of people believe that they are worshipping / not worshipping God, but they are really serving Satan the Devil.

How do you know you are not one of them, sorry, how can you prove you are not one of them?
How often have we heard that? Well, if I am not allowed to be neutral then I must be an enemy. Satisfied?
There you have it, blackmail by jesus, what an example!
Why should I serve any individual ? If I chose to serve as I wish to be useful it would be my fellow human beings generally. And I wouldn't rule out kindness to other species too. But a diety that may not exist and who doesn't feel a need to show itself ? No one can serve such an entity.
Goodlife, if Satan is "misleading the entire inhabited earth", he's misleading you too.
I really do try to stick up for everyone's rights to their own beliefs. I equally have lots of time for polite atheists and agnostics, but posts like this make my neautral stance very very difficult indeed. how can justify such twa
oops ( Divine intervention perhaps)-- how can you justify such twaddle Goodlife?
Shari, GL's problem is that he expects others to respect his beliefs but he does not respect either their beliefs or lack of them.
I find it quite curious that Goodlife seems to think the 'entire inhabited earth' doesn't include Jehovah's Witnesses.
I was wondering about that too. How are they exempt if he's misleading the ' whole inhabited earth' and why is Goodlife able to spot it when I have been so remiss in missing it altogether?
Naomi, whatever gave you the idea that GL has thoughts?
Amusingly, I take 'inhabited Earth' to mean exactly that ie. without the inhabitants, so, nonesense as usual but we are accustomed to that.
I'm not serving or worshipping any god whatsoever. Especially the god of people who call themselves christian, when that religion is based on human sacrifice.
I'll think for myself, thanks.
What is the connection between the first and second sentence here ? Is it yet another of Goodlife's non sequiturs ?
And anyway, was there a question here ?
//And anyway, was there a question here ? //
No, just his usual proselytising. Gets a bit tedious doesn't it?
He does draw a captive audience though Chris, fairs fair.
Ok, so how do you findout that you are worshipping God?

Well of course, we cannot answer all of life’s nagging questions merely by looking at God’s creative works, and you lot on here. But you can find answers to such questions by searching God’s Word, the Bible. It was by reading the Bible with an open mind that atheist conclusion that God exists and that he cares about what happens to us.
Keyplus, that is a difficult question and I doubt that GL can or will answer it.
Keyplus, why not post your question separately? It would be interesting to know how all the believers reached their conclusions.

Goodlife, //It was by reading the Bible with an open mind that atheist conclusion that God exists and that he cares about what happens to us. //

Which atheist are you talking about?
"Well of course, we cannot answer all of life’s nagging questions merely by looking at God’s creative works, and you lot on here. But you can find answers to such questions by searching God’s Word, the Bible.

This is just a failed argument. No one can answer all of life's nagging questions, most certainly not the bible. Evidence suggests the bible, contrary to being gods word, is just a collection of heavily edited myths and stories made up by humans who imagined a god.

The only way we are ever going to be able to answer those fundamental questions about the universe is by the scientific method

"It was by reading the Bible with an open mind that atheist conclusion that God exists and that he cares about what happens to us."

No idea what this sentence is supposed to mean. Which alleged atheist arrived at this conclusion?

Yes,you keep go no about scientific, this is true when it comes to choices of goods, services, employment, and even personal relationships. Logic might suggest that greater freedom of choice leads to greater satisfaction in life. Surprisingly, however, it often makes for misery.

For those who always want the best, decisions become increasingly difficult as the range of options increases.

You see they do make a selection, says Scientific American, they are nagged by the alternatives they have not had time to investigate. In the end, such ones experienced less satisfaction with life and were less happy, less optimistic, and more depressed.

The conclusion. There is good reason to believe, says the article, that overwhelming choice at least contributes to the epidemic of unhappiness spreading through modern society, and yes we are in the 21th century.
