Given all the scandals surrounding the church regarding paedophilia and inappropriate behaviour, it amazes me that this Priest thought this was uncontroversial....

Ah, the old "whipped cream on the legs" ceremony. We've all done that, haven't we? Just me, then?

seems decidedly bizarre.
its bizarre......
It's a bit freaky but it seems pretty transparent in that everyone appeared to know about it, teachers, kids and parents and they put pictures on the school website so I dont think it's anything to worry about, if a bit weird. I'd like to know how it originated though out of interest. lol
I find that sort of behaviour from a man of the cloth to be inappropriate and out of order. What message is it sending to the pupils. Well they say charity begins at home. Hmmmmm
Another job for the Pope to sort out. ?
That is definitely inappropriate behaviour, especially from a priest.
Some people get off on the strangest behaviour. I can't believe this inappropriate conduct seems to be sanctioned by the school! As an initiation ceremony, licking cream of another child's knee is one thing...... off an adult, let alone a priest, is totally disgusting.

No, it doesn't. He might think it's funny, but it's not.
The priesthood continues to reveal the reality of the church. Very bad in the small picture. Good in the big picture.

I won't live to see a world without the church but I know it is inexorably approaching. The future of humanity depends on the demise of this demonstrably sick and twisted philosophy.
Priests have done a lot worse without being punished, so I suppose it must be appropriate, at least in the eyes of the catholic church.
Er... totally weird and inappropriate. I'm just surprised that none of the parents have found this an odd thing to do, what with it being an event held for "many years".
.

The Pope in the form of the Holy Office for Pederastic Priestly Behaviour announced that a priest had been defrocked after he was found celebrating Mass. 'No one just celebrates Mass nowadays...' commented Papal pro-Nuncio for Child Abuse
gingejbee ...

Don't you hate it when it turns out that no one else has done it, LOL.

It does seem a bit unusual to lick cream off someone, though. Whereas natural yogurt ...
But, looking at that bloke ...

If he was in a football stadium with 20,000 other people, you'd walk in and instantly go ... Yep, that blokes the paedo!

For the record, I don't think that anyone at the Amex is a paedo.
JJ, I hate to say it, but he has got that look about him hasn't he... even from just a side angle!
Definitely, Mad.

One hates to seem "lookist" or judgmental, but there is something ...

... just not quite right ... about that bloke.

If you went to see your doctor, and it was him, lol ... you'd just go, oh, sod off! and walk out.
Peanut butter does it for me. Wow.

WR.
It may have gone on for years but I bet it was a priest's idea in the first place.
it just demonstrates the worrying amount of power and authority 'people of the cloth' still hold in some communities.

that people will allow and excuse all sorts of things because they blindly think that because its a priest it must be ok.
