I’d like to thank those of you who’ve prompted me to read, listen to, or watch things which educated, entertained or amused me in the last year. I apologize to those I’ve forgotten.

Thanks to Naomi for the two Karen Armstrong books, Life of Mohammed and (history of) Islam.
To Sandy for Yeats’s Fiddler of Dooney and Goldsmith’s The Deserted Village.
To Khandro for the Rod Liddle documentary The Trouble with Atheism.
To I can’t remember whom for Stephen Law’s The War for Children’s Minds (liberal v authoritarian approaches to education).
To another don’t remember who recommended In Six Days (a compilation of articles by 50 YEC scientists).
To Lazygun for his link to the “Does Science Refute God?” debate.
To Jom for Elina Garanca’s “Mon coeur s’ouvre à ta voix”.
To another don’t remember who provided the YouTube link to Blind Willy Johnson’s “Soul of a Man”.
To Clanad for Gedankenexperimente and his effortless inclusion of the word stochastic in a discussion on fossilized remains.
And to Keyplus for the insight into fundamentalist Islamic thinking provided by The Man in Red Shorts.

And to you, VE. You didn't try Karen's 'History of the Bible' then? Very wise. ;o)

Doesn't look that way to me, VE. ;o)

Happy Axial Obliquity, all!
Happy Christmas, V_E.
God bless us, every one!
Christmas is such an unhappy time for so many people for so many reasons. For the people who enjoy it, I wish you all a lovely and a happy Christmas. For those who do not, don't worry, it's only one day, one meal and it's soon over and life can get back to some sort of normality. I'm rather in the bah humbug camp, sorry to say. Seasons greetings to one and all though xx
