I' ve just been reading the current jokes and the remarks made (which I do every morning as a cheer-up process) and wondered why it is that people feel it incumbent to criticise them. They don't have to be historically correct, they are supposed to be funny and you are supposed to laugh (or not as the case may be). Far be it from me to tell peeps what to do, but I would like to understand this aspect of human minds. Anyone got any suggestions?

If I can't say anything positive I try and keep it zipped!! Some jokes are funny/not funny/heard it before, but that's life.
Good morning BTW!
There are many out there with a sour disposition and no sense of humour Starbuckone. As long as we enjoy them that's the main thing. :)

Thanks, tenrec and douglas this is how I feel. If I don't like them I just ignore them.
I see it as the 'copy n paste ' section.
I find that a lot as well Starbuckone.....And woe-be-tide anyone who posts a question in the wrong topic!
People are too 'nitpicky' as you say star. if you don't like it - move on. No need to complain.
A few make me laugh but a lot of them just aren't funny, and some people seem to post joke after joke. I'd post one if I found it hilarious enough to share, but humour is very personal - what makes me laugh might not appeal to others.
I'd tend to go to apotheosis for a laugh
If I post a joke Starbuck, which I do occasionally, I am pleased if anybody says anything at all - as at least it shows they read it so I didnt waste my time typing it. AB is like a big conversation most of the time and you get all types on here. The working of human minds we will never understand!
Did you know that they used to put bits of dead sheep on the the top of castle walls....That's why they are called ramparts.....
Some people are just immune to any kind of humor. (Maybe, they were vaccinated when they were kids!) What every comedian dreads is the stone dead audience that can barely raise a titter, still, at least you know you've "died."
At least this is preferable to the other alternative, polite applause followed by an
embarrassing silence! (Graveyard, Tumbleweed, yawn, yawn!)
Behave car rust. You've started me coughing.
