Comparing religions.

I get visits from Jehovah Witnesses, RCs and C of Es and I make a practice of asking them if they have read/studied any other contemporary religions or beliefs such as Greek, Roman and Nordic .
So far the answer has always been No! Some are even repelled at the very idea.
How can they peddle their mythology if they don't know anything about others.
I usually tell them my Nordic Gods are more reliable and Valhalla sounds far better than a week in the Costa Brava.

Separateness from the world is one of the central peices of utter stupidity and a large contribution to the demise of our environment. Religious fools reject the fact that we are of this Earth and happily allow its destruction because they know that one day soon their god will come and fix everything. They have been waiting 2000 years for that day.

This is the universal defence of the theists when the atrocious philisophy of the Bible is revealed. "Oh it is out of context". Yet they never explain in what context these parts magically become a guide to living rightously.
Atheists do understand the Bible which is why we are making a stand against its disgusting tenets. The Bible is a manual for bigotry and prejudice and has been used for generations to justify crimes against humanity.
