Well, being as the universe is over 13 billion years old, He'd have had plenty of time for deciding where to put the garden, the tree . . . and the snake.
Question Author
Err... how about the shed?

And can we please leave the snake out of this? :o/
So one the 7th day He wasn't resting after all . . . He was building a shed?

A wood shed no doubt . . . the one my dad would take me out to.
Question Author
Could well have been that one. Every chance, I'd say.
Well maybe one just like it. It did look about 6000 years old though . . . at the time.
. . . and the board he used that was in it couldn't have been much younger!

I wonder if it was the same board . . . umm? Nevermind.

Ahh... so you're a Young Earth Creationist. Mmmm..... the truth is coming out now. ;o)
Bishop Ussher did the maths and worked out that the world was about 6000 years old. I'm not sure that's still the view of the Anglican Church, though.
6000 earth years ago or 6000 god years ago?
6000 ~ 600000000 . . . what's a few zeros compared to that which created them? Or am I missing something? ;o)
Question Author
^^ A screw, perchance? :o)
Believe it? I think that some of us here can remember it!
Question Author
^^ I meant that in the garden shed, tool kind of variety.....

Oops... I think I'm digging myself in deeper here. Better shut up.
If you've got one to spare . . . I wouldn't complain. :o)
Question Author
^^ Sperlatt! :o)

Only one potential Young Earth Creationist then?
sandyRoe, you do Bishop Ussher an injustice. He didn't give such a vague time for the creation. He said it was on the midnight preceding Sunday October 23 4004 BC. Do get these importaant dates right, otherwise where would theism be?
Question Author
I wonder how he worked that out?
he used lots of sources and various calendars and kepplers tables, put two and two together to make midnight.

he then had a rethink and put three and three together and changed it to 6pm.

i imagine he was sponsored by accurist.
Consolation prize. Can't say, "I didn't see that one coming."

Still . . . no complaints! :o)
