Can anyone tell me what single theological belief distinguished all dissenters (nonconformists) from Anglicans?

I'd suggest this lies in Anglicanism's continuation of the hierarchical strucures of the old faith, with bishops, archbishops and a supreme head. Most groups of dissenters seem to have at their heart that people are equal and access to the almighty shouldn't be mediated through a hierarchy.
As Jenny Geddes said just before throwing her stool at the Bishop,'Nae priests nae bishops!'
