The Circus is in town with lyons, horses. bears, trapeez ect,and I sugested to my daughter I'd take my two g/children, 4 and 6 years old,
thinking they'd love it.
She was adament they did not go, she doesn't like the idea of animals used to entertain people. What are your views on this?
I don't think the animals are badly treated nowadays as they are inspected very regularly. Personally I used to hate the circus and dreaded being taken there as a treat.
I hate the circus - was taken once as a child - cried and had to be taken out. I cant abide them - travelling round with animals in cages and people paying to see the animals do tricks - in my opinion they should not be allowed if there are animals. Let people do whatever trick they want - they have a say iin the matter!!
I thought they did away with using animals in the circus nowadays
The last few I`ve been to mainly consisted of Russians doing balancing tricks and spinning around in giant metal rings, no lions, clowns or trapeze acts
are you sure that there are lions, bears, and horses in the circus.
I went to a travelling circus last year and it had clowns, it had trapeze, it had death defying stunts, and lots of other acts. It was a fabulous show, and there wasnt one single animal in the whole show.
My grandchildren loved it.
Why dont you check it out. I think circuses have changed a lot to what they were originally like.
If someone was to keep their pet domestic cat confined within its basket for days upon end, and then only to release it so that they could taunt it for the entertainment of others, their neighbours would rightfully be phoning the RSPCA to complain (or even taking 'direct action' against the cruel pet owner).
