I see you're recuperating well after your sense of humour bypass...

ROTFLMAO!
I'm completely lost now. Is this 'text' speak?
I now know what 'ROTFLMAO' means – good old Google. But I don't believe that you are actually performing that action. If you are, then good luck to you and try not to damage the furniture.
Looks like I'm not the only one with the sense of humour bypass... :-)
Irony Mark, irony...

WHOOSH!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
OK – clearly you don't 'get' me at all so let's leave it there at the risk of boring each other and everyone else to death.
I agree with you birdie1971,

why do people say ' ROTFLMAO ' when they don't really mean it or do it, silly thing to say ' IMPO '!
For the same reason that people "split their sides" or "laugh their head off" - it's just an expression...
Trt - Because 'text speak' is a childish form of communication. When kids get together, they invent new words for everyday objects or situations. I did it when I was young and speaking to my friends and colleagues, they did it too. When email (and mobile phones) first came along, kids used phrases like 'LOL' and 'IMHO' not only as an expedient way to express an emotion without going into elaborate exposition but also in order to create a 'new' language that couldn't easily be deciphered by those non-initiates.

'LOL', 'IMHO' and even 'ROTFLMAO' are phrases that I fully understand (I was joking when I said I had to use google to find out its meaning) but I consider them to be a rather crude form of communication.
Certainly a rude form of communication IMHO birdie, lets try and get back to the English language IPDM?
*let's*
MarkRae – Humourless and now pedantic. What other gems of knowledge can you bestow on us heathens to correct our cretinous ways? Thou who has never made a grammatical or linguistic error in any of his posts?
> Thou who has

Thou who hast...
in any of *thy* posts.
