Morning DF and poodi. We are working today too. We are in the Heritage Centre at Saul Junction on the Gloucester to Sharpness canal. I don't think we are going to be very busy somehow.
wbm sounds great, and no traffic for me work just around the corner

That's handy poodi. Yes, we love it down on the canal. It is so tranquil and peaceful, even when it's busy. Sounds like a contradiction I know, but it's true.
have to go have a good day
New Bradwell on the Grand Union here...we are in a post-tipping state. Everything a bit damp and the sky looks very threatening. Likelihood of a walk today extremely doubtful. Just back from Boutrnemouth after seeing brand new grand-daughter (our first) and have been lying awake for an hour and a half waiting to hear the baby noises from the next room! She's loud, but not that loud!
Have a pile of dirty washing to do so I think the tumble dryer will be in operation very soon.

Morning dundurn. Nice to see you. congratulations. First grand child. Wonderful. I remember it well. Our oldest one is off to university in October. Tempus fugit. I well remember him riding around on his little trike, teaching him to cook when he was five, well starting to anyway. Now he occasionally goes out to the kitchen and tells his mum to hop it. He does a good Sunday roast!
Good morning everyone - the sun is shining (so far) here in Kent. The first load of laundry is in the wash, and I'm going for a swim at 8 o'clock. Nice way to start the day!
Our family tend to do these things late. We didn't have our first till we were about 28 and she's waited till 34 to have her first baby. Not sure we'll still be around for Sunday roasts by grand-daughter! It does give you a new perspective on life, though. Daughter is a nurse so we know the ins and outs of the NHS but once again we;ve been seeing it from the sharp end. Little one was an emergency readmission on Sunday - ambulance, paramedics, A&E, paediatrics, overnight stop, basketful of tests, third trip from Milton Keynes to Bournemouth within a week etc. etc. Hence, probably, new grand-dad (or Grumps to the family!) listening out for whimpers from the next room! I have to say though that for me the forthcoming election has ceased to revolve around my pension when it comes or the financial climate for the next few years. I've a renewed interest in the sort of future little Maisie can expect when she's thinking of becoming a mum herself.
hi all

morning boxtops and beejay. sunshine boxtops? Wot's that then??

Nothing like a dramatic entry into the world dundurn. All is well I hope. Masie, I wish you well little one.

We have a Masie two doors down. she is a delight. She's about 7 or8 now, but such a lively mind and full of energy. She's going to make us all look thick. Not difficult mind :-)
Morning all. We're enjoying the calm after the storm here. This weeks seen some of the worst weather in living memory. 100,000+ people without electricity, floods in some areas, and this morning cold as cold can be.
Happy Easter, everybody.
Things can only get better
Good luck Sandy and all those around you - whereabouts are you?
good morning wbm and all - bright and sunny here, which is unusual for Easter - chance of a shower Monday, really too far away to worry about.

We're staying home - it's the safest place and we've the 'tribe' to keep happy [ all four-legged, now ] and you daren't make plans to fly anywhere, the planes promptly go on strike !!
