Why when you have already pressed the button does someone just walk up and press it again and if you say "I have just pressed it "they look at you as if you are stupid. Then to crown it all they still cross over before it goes to green?

You say you've pressed it, but then can never quite bring themselves to believe you or trust that you actually have; What do they think you're doing - just standing on the side of a busy road for the fun of it?

and another thing when you do cross the person on your right or left will decide to walk right in front of you as you reach the pavement grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes it is the same with the bell on the buses. You press it and then someone else presses it just after you have. It must really annoy the drivers.
