If it's 4 miles or less, walk, about an hour. I walked my bike 4 miles to work on Tuesday, and got to cycle home on clear roads.
It's Friday. That's the clincher - stay at home.
Go to work, you lazy beggar
What do you do? If it means you're letting anyone down, i.e. patients, clients etc - make the effort & see if it's accessible without putting yourself in danger.

Otherwise, like I said, it's Friday - stay at home!
4 miles gormless? Walk 4 miles in this weather? Are you mad? I wouldn't. But then I'm a lazy ar5e.
Just finished coming down here and boy the flakes were big!!!!

It has settled too, but it is not too deep.

central london is quite snowy at the mo barmaid....
hey Jan, it's a bit of a blizzard just outside of NW London!
I'm not going into uni, it takes me an hour to drive there on a good day and only have one lesson! So am working from home, and yes that does mean I will actually be doing some work!!
Students afcjan??!!! - then don't bother, cos most of them won't!
I fractured my wrist in 2 places 2 years ago - I was a bit addled at the time so didn;t feel it until the next morning. Oh, the pain!! It's still deformed now. I 'slipped' off a doorstep. The doorstep of a pub..... !
For the third time jan - stay at home with a big mug of cocoa with marshmallows on the top.
Quick, you had better run down to the shops for those marshmallows.

Here is in north London!!!

It is now slowly melting and getting slushy!!!
run down the shops ??
they are falling out of the sky here
Thats why I posted my answer lol to demonstrate that I am a student and I'm not bothering! also know at least three others who aren't going, they will all be grateful of the extra time anyway, is it a university or college?
Been checking central London webcams. Looks clear .It says on site that they are "live" and there is no snow. THe weather is a Government Plot to drive us into a great depression!!
