I want to live alone. I enjoy my own company .I am not interested in other people if they are not useful to me. I don't like to socialise as most people just talk rubbish.

Maybe it's precisley because of t'internet that we CAN be like this............hmmmmm. If there was no internet, maybe we would all be different to the way we are.
Hi leelapops! We don't come on here much these days do we!! Tee hee xx
Hi leela - spot on! xxx

I just think that humans are creatures of habbit and as we live most of our lives doing day to day things i.e. work... shopping... watching telly.... talking to the dog (you know who you are!) etc....

Anything else, like the unexpected caller, or a social event that you didn't expect to go on, just knocks us off balance! I do like to go places but on my own terms and only if I can leave if I want to! (I am LOL at myself at this point!!!)

We'll maybe I speak for myself!
Great posting leelapops. A long time since a thread like this appeared. Very similar, as Robinia pointed out, to a Christmas Post one (which I can't find due to the crap search facility).
No sky! No-one mentioned depressive! x
legend - Who do you think rosamundjohn is? I was thinking it was bobtheturkey wanting a lively debate? xxx
Thanks for this thread rosamund. It may have gone a bit off track, but it has been extremely interesting. At least I have found I am not alone in hiding from unexpected visitors!

So how do we all feel about going away on holiday? Leaving our comfort zones etc?
-- answer removed --
I am a holiday cheat... we have a touring caravan! Home away from home!

... oh it gets worse (LOL) x

Tea never tastes like home though!

Bath - That's the funny thing! I love it! I am the party person on holiday, love making friends, burning the candle at both ends, so long as I get a siesta. A couple of months ago we went away for a few days and made great friends with a couple from Dundee, total eccentrics, loved it!
Holiday destinations become temporary 'homes' where you still maintain your private space, so nothing changes. I love my holidays but would only ever go away with my partner or perhaps a very close friend. I don't invite anybody into our accommodation, ever!
Oh yes Skyep, I love going out and meeting people on holiday and have had some great times with some lovely people - but it's always on my own terms. I wouldn't put myself into a social situation where I know I would feel uncomfortable.
