If you watch the TV of any Continental Counntry you'll see they still have their traditions,we don't. Nobody knows anything about our past except for the antics of the Royals. Where is OUR national dress ? Where our Folk traditions?
All we have is the stuff Albert the prince consort and his progeny made up-Trooping the colour and Public Schools.

can you give an example of where you think English society is becoming more cosmopolitain, not sure if it is or isn't so would need to know what it means to you. Also any specific tradition and values that you see are lost?
If English schools taught history instead of socialist 'liberal' dogma it would help. History goes: Romans, more Romans, Saxons, 'Vikings',Normans,Tudors World wars end.
The roots of England are never mentioned.i.e. Hengist and Horsa and the invasion of the germanic Angles from Southern Denmark with the numerically smaller group of bordering Saxons in the mid 5th century. The next 600 years belongs to the creation of England, so this should be fully taught-It isn't because English children would begin to identify with our germanic ancestors not the melticulture being force fed to them.Wise up,be proud!
