my fiance & i where talking about our baby (due in june) and what we're to do with sleeping arrangements. we've already got a cot which will be set up in the bedroom but, during the day, when we're in the front room where will the baby sleep? should we buy a moses basket to put in here? or anything else? this is a silly question to ask, i guess, but it is a dilemma for us!
any advice would be most welcome.

i used a moses basket for downstairs and Mini Boo slept extremely well in it.

Congratulations by the way :-)
i just used the carry cot until they got too big and by then they had moved to the cot upstairs for day time sleeps.
all my girls slept this way.
congrats
I had a pram for mine, so they slept there during the day.

I admit that for the first baby I had a moses basket, which was pretty useless as she grew out of it far quicker than she did her pram!

thanks everyone! we've looked at the replies and we'll mull it over during the next few weeks.i've got some other questions that my fiance has told me about & if she agrees,i'll post them in the pregnancy section & look forwar to your answers!
Well, we had a moses basket stand in the front room and used a moses basket, that then could be carried upstairs (with lovely sleeping baby in it,eventually!!) and placed the moses basket into the cot in the bedroom, then when they got to a couple of months older, they slept in the cot, not in the moses basket inside the cot. The midwife said they feel cosier in a smaller space, we believed her and it worked for our 3. Good luck.
My daughter slept in hers for 14 weeks, and stayed downstairs with us, and we took her up with us, it saved us having to put the cot up for a while!
i used the pram when i was in the frontroom, whats the point of buying a moses basket their in them five mins to me its a waste of money
Just to let you know that is not a silly question at all. If you are a first time mum the answer is not obvious and you have done the best thing to ask and take advice. Then make up your own mind based on ideas given. You will need the answer to lots more seemingly silly questions yet so we are all here with handy hints and tips. Good luck and happy shopping.
