Bible Typology

Does anybody feel interested in Bible typology?
Do you understand it as a way of unlocking the Bible?

Thinking further Theland,how does understanding typology help 'unlock' the bible?

As I see it,one could spend an inordinate amount of time looking for patterns,links etc but what does this actually demonstrate?

Even if passages appear to have a link,this isn't conclusive proof (that word again) that God answered a call or anything else.

It seems like a lot of huffing and puffing to me to derive inconclusive outcomes.

There is also a research error (can't remember the name) where genuine research into a correlation is biased by including the correlation that triggered the research instead of starting from zero....its the same here I think

The very idea that the New Testament writers (especially the gospel writers) dared to emulate stories that they already knew...and were familiar with...but with different names??
