I was saddened but not surprised to see the say old formula being rolled out from Southwark Cathedral, and hear the same old cliches being intoned by pious politicians and clergy.
It is way past the time we should have met this problem head on and called the cause of it all for what it is, Islamism!
When will we wake up and take action against a community within our community who are reluctant to integrate, insist on respect for their backward customs and traditions, and with strong leadership, begin the fight back to normality?
We are just marking time until the next terrorist attack, or the next sex grooming scandal, and sadly, until the stench arrives at their own front door, too many people will bury their heads in the sand, and dust off the old tired programme to deal with the next outrage.
The best memorial to the sad victims is to take strong action now against those who declare their enmity for us. Yes?

Absolutely, but political correctness will prevent it. The Islamist population of Britain is increasing at a faster rate than the Christian population, which tells you how the future will be
i do agree with what you are saying, living in the capital certainly has its disadvantages like waiting for the next terror attack, driving cars or vans into people just going about their daily business. But what can the ordinary punter do about it, protest, but how??
Indeed !
I was saddened but not surprised to see the say old formula being rolled out by Theland.
Why can't a memorial service be a memorial service. Meanwhile the security forces, police and other agencies continue to work behind the scenes and with the public trying to prevent future terror attacks and find those responsible for previous ones, the government still reaffirms its condemnation of such actions and commitment to seeking to defeat terrorism, and efforts at deradicalisation continue. Maybe more should be being done (and not the pointless close mosques, make them wear suits, send them all back comments) but I don't think a memorial service should focus on that
The old tired rant . . . . . . .
It's a memorial service, do you not understand what that is Theland?
What do you expect from a memorial service in a church?
memorial service was appropriate..however much needs to be done to address the ever widening chasm in cultures in this nation, and all that precipitates... when in Rome...
Memorial services will continue – as will denial.
sadly Naomi...
I love the way u use pious as an insult. You are the most pious person I know
What exactly would you like to see happen Theland?
Maybe a day out to the seaside, cinema, and end with fish and chips and a karaoke ?

What would I like to see done? Memorial services for sure, but not in a spirit of denial repeating the old mantra about coming together etc etc.
For a start, Muslims with placards demanding death to our returning troops were ignored by the police, but patriotic protesters were arrested!
Got the idea?
Kick out the imams who preach hate such as in Didsbury mosque just weeks before the Manchester bombing.
Make the police investigate Muslim crime without worrying about hurting the feelings of the Muslim community, as in the shocking revelations about grooming gangs.
Listen to Tommy Robinson who is a political prisoner for speaking truth.
Not a campaign against Islam, or Muslims, but against Islamism, the political ideology that is indeed the driving force behind the terrorism, with advocates such as Anjem Choudary.
Listen to Douglas Murray of the Henry Jackson Society, and others who are prepared to speak truth, but quite often get shouted down.
Last week a Muslim man was found guilty of inciting others to attack Prince George, yet to be sentenced, and now baroness Warsi calls for an inquiry into islamophobia in the Conservative party. Is she dumb or just biased?
Britain, wake up!

Bednobs - me pious? Ha! How? Example?

Fiction factory - your attitude of complacency is part of the problem.
Do you realise our kids are being indoctrinated with Islam in our schools in the guise of diversity?
Our roots are Judeo Christian and our society is built on that even if you are atheist, so why do lily livered politicians allow our kids to be exposed to this ?
Not in my family! Protests to the school protected our grandchildren from this exposure. Kids should be taught to have and to recognise character, regardless of race or religion, and not be brainwashed into thinking Islam is a religion of peace. It is not!
The last time I went into a school - they were being brainwashed ok into believing a load of rubbish that God and Jesus is great and that God built the world in 7 days!!
What a load of tripe!

Canary42 - Silence is golden. Or in your case it would be if you could refrain from submitting to your Tourette like urge to say something, anything, just to scratch your itch and appease your ego.
Try and think before you post and say something critical or constructive, or even entertaining.
Would you do that? Please? Pretty please?
Question Author
Is lay - don't tell me you miss the point?
And to what God were the mourners appealing in the memorial services?
But of course you do have scientific evidence to back up your claims don't you? Of course you do! But it's a secret! I get it.
//Try and think before you post and say something critical or constructive, or even entertaining. //
Are you going to start posting something critical, constructive or entertaining soon Theland or just continue posting your hateful views?
