We are always told that immigration enriches our society.
I disagree.
Apart from foreign food, what are the net benefits?
We have terrorism, a net drain on our benefits system, and a school in Southampton, (YouTube ), has 32 languages spoken, and parents cannot speak English.
I fail to see any benefits at all.
The ANTIFA love it.
Sadly for me, I am white, heterosexual, and male.
Only those who can identify with some kind of minority group get the approval of the neo liberals that are taking over.
They view our flag as a symbol of oppression. They approve of Islamism. They support any and every sexual identity and they are running out of letters of the alphabet to identify themselves.
Up to now it is LGBTIQ. but might have missed some.
Only a strong ALT RIGHT government can save us from this disgraceful invasion of our culture and national identity.
What can we / you do in our everyday lives to try and stem the tide of this neo liberal communist agenda of destruction of everything that we should hold dear?

Some will be extremely unhappy about immigrants, liberals and gay people - and will call for a right wing government to champthe rights of the white heterosexual male.

That’s understandable. Throughout history, those who have felt unfairly treated will demand a rebalance.

Theland is no different t Martin Luther King, Ghandi and the Suffragettes in this respect.

//Don't buy this claim that immigrants contribute to the economy.//

It’s true though.

Immigrants since 2000 are ‘net contributors’.
//If you have a personal faith then fine but don't use it as an excuse to lessen your fellow human beings. //

Theland hasn't mentioned his religion. Other people here have jumped on that bandwagon.
Ah, I hadn't realised that since 2000 this nation had zero unemployment. Well I learn something every day. Strange then how authorities are all pleading poverty, raising rates and cutting services.
Naomi // Theland hasn't mentioned his religion//

He regularly quotes the Bible and he has stated that he believes that Jesus died on the cross, so that points to Christianity.
I meant it in general terms when those from different groups do it, certainly not aimed at Theland. More along the lines of say a South African 'christian' nurse who told me and those in the vicinity I would burn in hell for having a relationship with a woman.
bhg481, he hasn't mentioned his religion in this context.

Rowan, oh, I see. Thanks for the explanation.
naomi - true. If he is a Christian it's not surprising as Christians are supposed to love their neighbours.
bhg481 , As I said earlier loving one’s neighbour has its limits. I wouldn’t expect anyone with half a brain to love, or even to tolerate, for example, the Rochdale child groomers.
There's a difference between neighbours in general and specific neighbours. Christians are supposed to try to like everybody; in this post Theland is specifying groups of people. I agree that you can't like everybody, however hard you try, but is is wrong to be against someone just because they are the wrong colour/class/creed whatever.
bhg481, He is talking about his perception of the negative impact that immigration is having on society. His religion is irrelevant to this discussion and shouldn’t have been raised in the first place.
naomi - that's true as well but I don't think that it's unreasonable to challenge such views from a poster who is clearly very religious and he does bring another religion into the OP.
I agree Naomi (09:08) he is commenting on what's happened because of his perception of immigration and we are all entitled to our opinions. Religion wasn't brought into it by Theland as you rightly say.

People IMO should comment on the OP not on the person asking. I have to agree with Theland's observations and of OG too. My take on it is if people here before mass immigration had taken the jobs we wouldn't have needed immigrants to do them. We wouldn't be overloaded with population to bursting point now and for the future to come.

There would no strain on the NHS and other services either and if they had stopped encouraging people to have more children.... Then maybe this country would be better off and manage things as they should be managed.

I have nothing against immigrants whatever colour, creed or persuasion, I just see this as an island with finite resources for everything. I would say exactly the same for any country who would be overwhelmed by immigrants putting their jobs and services at risk. Sorry if people don't like this opinion but that's how I see it and many others like me.

How did such a small group of islands like ours, ever managed to invent and produce the things we did, then share them with the rest of the world, after we had civilised those distant lands?

All without the vast number of immigrants we have imported into our country since WW2?
Does anyone know why a question about immigration has a sub question about gay people wedged in the middle of it.

AOG

You’re diversifying into a question about the British Empire, which is a subject all on its own. Like all empires, it has some very positive aspects and outcomes - and some very real negatives.
bhg481, I do understand what you're saying. However, in my view, a thread that descends into a discussion on the personal matter of Theland’s faith, which this one appears to be in danger of doing, serves only to generate discussion on that, thereby side-lining and fundamentally ignoring the real issue.
dunnital, a vast number of these immigrants were brought here to do the jobs that people were not willing to do - so how does that fit in with your response?
Islay, //a vast number of these immigrants were brought here to do the jobs that people were not willing to do//

That's what dunnitall said.
//Even loving one's neighbour has its limits//

It does, you have to bail out before her hubby gets back
