The Daily Mail has a 16 page pull out and a further 19 pages on the royal birth.
The Daily Express has just 9.
How can the Mail justify this? Total waste of money.
I am not against the royal family, I fully support them but this is overkill.
I dread to think what is going to happen when the wedding takes place.

I don't keep up with these things. Do understand that a prince of the blood royal is going to marry Merkel (presumably after her divorce). I can see important political interests here: re-establishing old dynastic links in advance of Brexit maybe?
But can't help being unchivalrous, though. He's a reasonably fit young man and she's far to old for him, isn't she? This is Harry 8 and Cathy but more so, isn't it? And, let's face it, she's a bit of a minger. (Do hope that's today's word; so difficult for us oldies to stay "current".)

She's already divorced.
I must admit though if my OH brought the papers in I would happily look at the pictures. I just wouldn't read about it. I love babies and get very broody when I see cute ones. I have a friend who thinks they're all ugly....but she's a bit weird.
I've also wasted far too much time watching cats on youtube.

The Mail's readership contains a massive proportion of people who love the Royals, and also any gossip that's in their orbit. It made a huge deal out of the fact that Pippa Middleton is pregnant. Apart from being the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, I am unable to see why Ms. Middleton is remotely newsworthy, but the Mail thinks so, and they are a top-selling paper, and know their readership.
The wedding will receive similarly gushing coverage for acres of newsprint - still, it's cheaper than buying Hello Magazine!
