Well it depends if you're any good. I wouldn't be weird about it but if your crap at playing... leave the building.
I you like to play video games why would you care what other people think?
In this day and age, anything goes. I don't think anyone would think playing computer games is weird, it's a hobby. You are more likely to find someone is attracted to you because of your personality and confidence rather than if you like computer games specifically. However, if you are looking to meet someone who has a similar interest in videos games, why not get yourself to a computer games exhibition - you are bound to bump into lots of people there who have a passion for video games and it could be a good icebreaker.
Dearest, you need to have a little talk with your mama about this. She will have handy tips to pass onto you about how to comport oneself in the company of a gentleman caller, and when you should start walking out. If you think it is hot indoors, you can always open a window or 'up the aircon', or better still step out into the fresh air for some healthful exercise. Similarly if you believe your gentleman visitor is too cool, you could move his chair out of the draught or offer him a warming muffler.
I dunno if they think it's hot or not and I don't care. I play games because I enjoy playing games, nothing to do with cool. Don't try so hard, that is unattractive, just be yourself and play games if you want to and don't if you dont.
I think, they think, they are girls who play video games.

They say self praise is no recommendation.

Guys who share your interest would probably find it attractive, others less so. I'm unsure about the 'pulling power' of shared video games though.
You wouldn't appeal to me...........but there again, what do I know?

Tennis, hockey,bit of gentle " knecking"..........normal pursuits.
Unsure I'd call it a hobby. Pastime / interest maybe. Escapism from the reality of a tough day too. Little different to book reading or film watching, except it's more interactive.
How old are you, Sqad?
gamers are gamers, gender isnt important. That stereotype was left behind by the industry way back in the days of the Playstation when gaming became a bit 'cooler' than before.
you either game or you don't, gender is irrelevant, what is relevant is your ability
Ummmm...you know very well how old I'm.

Stop being cute and get to your point.
I think many guys would love the fact that you are a gamer, it means they can sit at home and play games together and you wont give him a hard time. Me and my other half have spend many many hours playing PC games together (World of Warcraft)
I didn't know you play Warcraft RATTER- what class are you, are you Horde or Alliance?
Probably in the past it was more unusual for girls/women to become avid gamers, however these days its very common for gamers to be girls, as for male interest, I think its more about how good a gamer you are than just being a gamer.

there is nothing wrong with being a gamer as long as gaming doesn't impinge on your work life or get in the way of unexciting but necessary tasks.

Video game-playing type guys will probably think you're cool and that you 'get' them. However, don't expect your taste in game genres to match. If it does then you might come across as (old-fashioned concept alert) 'tomboyish'. Not a big deal but might change the way they treat you or change their ideas of what might be fun to do together.
Before you get into a full relationship with one of these then find out what your tolerance level is for dirty dishes and remember that computer equipment doesn't work well when choked with dust. Men's dirt tolerance levels are always higher.

Guys who don't play video games would probably lump you together with the guys who do and just assume that it's to relieve boredom, because your social life is a bit empty; maybe going as far as assuming you lack social skills. This is off-putting as they might fear that this behaviour trait will be taught or genetically transferred to any children.

kvalidir, I played mostly Alliance but also a few Horde characters.
I worked a few to level 80 then got fed up with the attitude of so many players at the top that wanted nothing more than to put everybody down and bicker and whine all the time and I stopped playing.
I've got few 90s but I must admit to playing less since Pandaland appeared, boring as hell with all the muppets that attracted, but I like my Horde guild and we raid Stormwind a lot, so still a lot of fun :)
I expect some girls play video games so that they can understand what the grunts emanating from teenage boys might mean..

That is the result of playing an excess of video games...................but perhaps that's how modern men like their woman.
