Was diagnosed with Poly Myalgic Rhumatica 9 months ago and put on steroids, got an extensive DVT 8 weeks ago , on Warfarin for life then 2 weeks ago was diagnosed with a partially collapsed lung due to Brochiectasis. The main thing is I'm so tired. Could this be due to any of the medication? Can anyone suggest a way I can buck myself up?

What a bad time you are having. I am sure your doctor can recommend a good dietitian to advise supplements to improve your level of energy. Meanwhile make sure you eat plenty of fruit and fresh veg, try not to eat too much refined sugar products and try to do a little exercise ( I know this last one is difficult with your condition) You might find that ginseng may help your energy levels, but start slowly as it doesn't agree with everyone. Cut yourself some slack. Relax!!

Headwreck... I've been told Warfarin for life due to the fact I've had 4 DVT's before, not worried about taking it although it's going to mean a cut back in my weekend glass of wine or three. Thanks for your reply xx

There are so many supplements out there which would help you with the inflammation- at the moment I am taking MSM, BioActive Uniquinol, Thermogenic Complex, Vit D and K2 for inflammation-based problems, but food can help too- read Eat Right For Your Type and make sure you're not feeding yourself with food which your body is intolerant of, and therefore causing inflammation.
my mum had pmr she lived till she was93 santogen powder is a good tonic hope you soon feel better
masma, im so sorry to see you are unwell. i hope you improve soon. take care anne ♥
me too. masma - I bet the illnesses and your diagnosis are wearing you down, that doesn't help your energy levels. I'd ask your GP next time you see them, what they recommend. Keep posting though, it's always good to hear from you ♥

Thanks again... xx
Hi masma - I have Type 2 diabetes, which in no way compares with your problems, but last year I started to feel low and lacking energy. My diabetic nurse put me on a course of vitamin B12 injections, initially every 12 weeks and now every ten weeks.

I certainly feel better for it, but have no idea if it would help you with your symptoms, and the medication you're on.

Please go back to your doctor and let him/her know just how you feel.

And as Anngel said, 'Relax', but I suppose that's easier said than done. Best wishes.
