My DNA and fingerprints were taken approx 5 years ago when I was arrested and subsequently released. Is there anyway I can get confirmation that my DNA is still on file? Can I also demand it be deleted in accordance with an EU ruling?

As I recall the deletion of DNA for acquitted (and I believe not charged ) people applies only to Scotland.

It looks like it may be coming south of the border though
