I have a few, been to some houses with masses of them, the older generation seem to love them, wonder why that is...

Cant stand ornaments in general - they are just dust magnets!
I don't have any, I can't stand clutter...............
hate
Perhaps because they bring back memories and have been given as gifts by loved ones. Most older people tend to prefer homely homes full of memories than minimalist designer homes. I must admit to a few things on display that may well not be exactly up to designer standards. (Well more than a few really). Also, generally, us 'oldies' don't tend to keep decorating and trying to keep up to modern trends so much. Our homes are more 'lived in'.

I find the modern trend of minimalism and plainess very unhomely actually.
Notice they way the eyes follow you round the room ...... bird one are the worst .
My 250 year old home lends itself to clutter!!!
I like ornaments
I loather figurines and porcelain birds and that kind of ornament. I love contemporary ceramics and have a lot of plates, jugs and bowls around the place though, they are more use than ornament though.
It depends entirely on the ornament.
i have loads of clutter i just don;t need anything more to fall over
You need to move some of the bigger items out then ;)
Must admit I don't like figurines or porcelaine birds, etc. I tend to go for more quirky things that fit in with my cottage. I have a family of wooden ducks that live on a very low window sill in my cottage and blend in with the garden they look out onto outside. I don't like just random ornaments all in a line on a shelf. But each to his own.

Ornaments and pictures can add an awful lot of character to a room in my opinion. And blow the dust. I don't do dusting anyway!!
The only thing I have are candlesticks.
I'm not really one for ornaments. I do have a (very small) collection of georgian silver and some crockery which I would like out on display but the OH likes a more minimalist look. So now it's ALL on the dresser in the kitchen which is horribly cluttered.
You should have paid your electricity bill then Ummmm ;o)
I like ornaments by Lalique, Moorcroft, Troika etc and would be happy to look after them for you... for a small fee! Awright guv, say no more ;-)
Looking round my room. I have....

4 plants
2 candle sticks
A picture of my Dad and Uncle
A large mirror
A George Best pic on the wall
In our 'retro' fireplace we have a ceramic teddy bear and a Buddha.
lol Lottie you wouldn't like my house. No ornaments, not even any carpets.......as minimalistic as I can get it, apart from lots of pictures.
I do like plants in a house, they always brighten up any room.
yeh, I dont count plants as ornaments.
