This is an odd one. If you put my postcode into the automatic devices companies have, it shows three properties. All well and good, but ! there are four properties . I live in a semi, but the post-code finder classes it as one house. So when my dippy neighbour changes her gas supplier, guess who gets changed too ! !
Can someone help me. Who do I get in touch with ?

That may help with the postcode thing, but I suspect you'll need to write a "What The Funicular" letter to both of the energy suppliers too, to explain things.
Just had this happen to me. My supplier calls to say sorry I am leaving them. First I had heard of it. Turns out someone with similar post code and nearly same street name is changing. My supplier can't do anything about it and I end up on the phone to Brit Gas who is the new supplier for hours trying to sort it out. Think it's done now but got told so many lies by them including they don't have a complaints department even though that is who I phoned and it answered as "hello complaints dept" can I help. You need to contact your supplier and they will give you the number of the company that is taking over from them.
Oh wow, a TLA got expanded and then looks worse than left alone :-D
Actually I think you will need to contact your local council as it is they who are in charge of addresses. They are the ones who will let Royal Mail know that your house exists. I work in a Post Office and in the past year have had two customers who have found that their house doesn't exist, at least according to Royal Mail. On both occasions they have sorted this out through the local council.
