What is the difference between Priests, Vicars, Ministers, Curates etc and who is senior?

different names in different churches. Priest normally catholic, vicar more c of e , minister more methodist. So rank is difficult to assign. A curate is normally a sort of junior vicar, though, so thats one you can asssign a rank to.
The Roman Catholic church also uses the titles of monsignor and canon, the holders of which are still priests, below the rank of bishop. I am not sure if the title is anything much more than an honourary bestowment.
